St Magnus Shipwreck When Wrecked: 18 March 1875
Location: Moreton Bay & Islands
Available Information:
Barque 289 tons. (Off Cape Moreton) Heavy weather having forced the St Magnus to stand out to sea in increasingly heavy seas, she apparently capsized soon afterwards. On the 22nd of March, the Lady Bowen entered in her log that she had passed a wreck of a vessel bottom up at 5:30pm. The hull itself was later driven ashore at Inskip Point.
